Josh Stivers
Josh Stivers brings nearly 30 years of combined law enforcement and security leadership experience, with a distinguished career dedicated to public safety, healthcare security, emergency management, and workplace violence prevention. A recognized innovator, Josh is the holder of two issued U.S. utility patents, including the Breakaway Stethoscope technology, reflecting his commitment to developing practical solutions that enhance safety in healthcare environments.
Josh's professional expertise is supported by an extensive academic background, including a Master of Science in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice. He also holds numerous professional credentials, including Certified Healthcare Operations Professional (CHOP), Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Certified Crisis Intervention & Stress Management (CCISM), and Certified Protection Professional Development (CPD).
As a respected national speaker and educator, Josh delivers impactful presentations on workplace violence prevention, active shooter preparedness, and healthcare security. His training programs provide healthcare professionals with practical, scenario-based strategies designed to improve safety, readiness, and survivability during critical incidents.
Beyond his professional work, Josh is a published author of the Captain Ready's Adventures children's book series, which encourages courage, preparedness, personal safety, and resilience among young readers.
